30 Paintings in 30 Days by Artist Jason Prigge featuring the Manitowoc River
Remember to mark you calendars to take in the entire 30 day collection when it is on exhibit at the Door County Peninsula School of Art Guenzel Gallery from Nov. 11 - Dec. 31. It's free and open to the public, including the opening reception! Artist Prigge would love to see you there and conversate. 6 other artists will display their 30 day collections at the same time. It will be a wonderful and unique art experience.
So, Day 18. This features a bend in the river approaching downtown Manitowoc by way of the industrial peninsula (Think Manitowoc shipbuilding) highlighting holy hill (church steeple) and some of the circa 1870's original buildings. The colors are so vibrant...the buildings, greens, river. You can almost see the water flowing as it rushes to dump into Lake Michigan. Not much further to go! Jason has done a remarkable job with this piece.
