Pourquoi pas moi | by Mareva Galenter

Pourquoi pas moi
Et pourquois pas?  This video is a charming little lark.  Granted, she's no Lady Gaga, but it's so visually stimulating.  Love the costumes and quirky style.

Cock-a-doodle doo

A rose by any other name ...

The first snows of the season arrived today, pardon me while I think spring...

Happiness ...

GQ Wow

This photograph falls under *art that moves me* because it simply does.  Doesn't it you too?  I mean, look at it.  It looks like a shot from a spread in GQ or some other splendidly rich and lovely publication.  Color.  Champagne.  Cigar.  Flowers. Cigar.  Boys.  Smiles.  Good times.  It's like one of those dream shots that a good magazine treats you to.

Non Sequitor

This was a rare chance moment.  An old abandoned building neglected for quite some time.  Stacks of Chicago cream city brick and lots of shopping carts.  Lucky to have had a camera just at the moment the sun danced on it all.

Outstanding in Her Field

It's titled *Outstanding in her Field* by an artist who is outstanding in his field *Jason Prigge*.  I love how this piece is essentially a portrait of this cow in her element, the charming, quaint and graceful Wisconsin countryside.  Peaceful.  Refreshing.  Intriguing.  A great work of art.  Consider me moved.

30 Paintings in 30 Days

I'm rooting for another artist this month too.  The handsome man in the self-portrait is artist Jason Prigge.  He is an inspiration!  And similar to NaNiWriMo, he has undertaken a NaNiPaintMo, if you will, during the month of November.  That is to say,  his goal is to execute a painting a day each day during the month of November for a total of 30 works by month's end.  Ambitious, yes.  This self portrait is day one.  I'd say he is off to a damn fine start!  I'm filled with anticipation each day to view the newly completed piece and look forward to viewing the final collection.  Bon chance monsieur!

NaNiWriMo

November, it turns out, is national write a novel month.  The goal is to write each day to end up with a 50,000 word novel at the end of the month.  I'm not sure I have 50,000 words in me, so I'm not planning to attempt it. But I know a girl who is. She is creative and clever and is gifted in the art of elocution.  The English language is literally at her command.  Have you ever tried playing the game where one person searches for an obscure word in the dictionary and the others try to guess it?  She has yet to be stumped!  I am rooting for her to accomplish her goal this NaNiWriMo month of November and very much looking forward to reading the end product.
You go girl!  Be inspired.

Sudden Summer Fog | Artist Jason Prigge

The art that moves me.  Yep, this piece does.  A foggy summer morning at the marina on Lake Michigan captured vividly in oil on panel by artist Jason Prigge.  I love this piece.
