Artist Jason Prigge like you have never seen him before.  This video compilation offers a brief glimpse into the energetic and exciting 7 hour live performance of Jason painting the musicians.  He captures the essence of the performance and it linger in each piece.  You can feel the music in his pieces.  GREAT music by Benson Klemme (awesome Lenny Kravitz sound), Bowser & Special Guests, Shoeless Revolution (Wow!) and Steez.  An all around amazing experience.  Enjoy your 8 minutes.

Perspectives on a Hometown exhibit by Jason Prigge

80+ painting collection featuring Manitowoc, including urban, rural, nocturne and from rooftop, by award-winning artist Jason Prigge will be on exhibit beginning tomorrow to commemorate the opening of the permanent Rudy Rotter Gallery at Gallery 3 in Manitowoc, WI. (2402 Franklin St.) The exhibit will be on display through November.  The opening on November 5 will feature artist Prigge executing a live portrait of the late Rudy Rotter for auction. Other pieces in the collection are available for purchase.  What luck!  Just in time for the holidays.  Yes, I like the image of Jolly Ole St. Nick as art connoisseur.

The amazing thing about the breadth of this collection is that all subjects are of Manitowoc and it does NOT include the 30 Paintings in 30 Days which will be on exhibit at the Door County Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek starting November 19.

MozART :: The perfect combination of classical art and entertainment

This string quartet is brilliant.  It's my kind of performance.  They have blended the classics with humorous entertainment that transcends language.  While enjoying their unique combination, I began thinking of them as the "Polish Bobby McPheron" and then lo and behold, there was guest appearance by none other than Bobby himself.  Very cool. Very clever.  Very beautiful and fun.  MozART is art that moves me.  Enjoy!

1 Little Monkey Jumpin' Around

A 6 year old performing with gusto.  I've never heard the song quite this way.  He heard the song at school in the afternoon, came home and was inspired to give an entertaining performance.  Music is his muse and he is clearly moved by it.  Enjoy!
Oh, and if you know who to show this to at Disney, please do.  This kid has stage presence  :-)

Day 29 :: 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 29
30 Paintings in 30 Days by Artist Jason Prigge featuring the Manitowoc River.
I am such a big fan of the nocturnes.  Here's the same view painted during daylight on Day 19 of the Manitowoc River as it ambles past the Manitowoc Public Library with the Manitowoc County Courthouse in the distance along with an illuminated church steeple.    Only one more day to go!
